About
Welcome to my corner of the digital world! I'm Michelle Brideaux McKinstry, and I find joy in connecting people and celebrating the positivity that surrounds us. With a dynamic journey that has led me through diverse roles, I've learned to savor life's flavors and craft its narratives.
My professional expedition began in the world of delectable pastries, where I honed my skills as a Pastry Chef, delighting in the artistry of culinary creation. Fifteen years in the hospitality industry shaped my dedication to precision and creativity. However, life's tapestry unfurled a new chapter when I ventured to southern New Mexico.
Embracing change, I transitioned my talents into the realm of marketing and communications. Since 2010, I've been thriving in this dynamic field, specializing in public relations, graphic design, and social media strategies.
My journey through the nonprofit sector since 2014 has been deeply rewarding, focusing on marketing and fundraising. Guiding nonprofits towards amplified awareness and enhanced financial support has been an inspiring accomplishment, fueled by my passion for community engagement.
As the Communications & Marketing Administrator for the City of Alamogordo and currently, the Communications Coordinator for the Alamogordo Public Schools, I've woven stories that bind the community together. Simultaneously, my roles as the past president of the Rotary Club of White Sands and P.E.O. NM Chapter BI have allowed me to exemplify my commitment to leadership and service. Holding the title of Honorary Commander for the Force Support Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, I've gained a unique perspective on unity and collaboration, working to bring together the Alamogordo Community and our Air Force neighbors.
My journey of empowerment and advocacy continues. Armed with an Associate's degree in Baking & Pastry Arts and a Bachelor's in Business Management and Entrepreneurship—both earned Suma Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University in 1998 and 1999, respectively—I've embraced a lifelong love for the arts and innovation. Alongside my steadfast partner, Bert, I've channeled our shared passion into volunteering and driving community transformation.
Recognitions as a three-time Paul Harris Fellow, a distinguished Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce Associate of the Quarter, and features in esteemed publications like Food Service Director and Event Solutions Magazines have underscored my commitment to excellence.
As I traverse this remarkable journey, my focus remains on fostering a thriving community. I'm dedicated to creating new pathways that uplift people and organizations in my community and empowering leaders to champion education, income stability, and health.
Thank you for joining me on this expedition, where each experience adds vibrancy to the larger narrative of connectivity and growth. Let's celebrate positivity, embrace change, and create ripples of impact together.
